Variations 2010 - The 22nd Regional Secondary School Student Art Show |
|
Artwork by:
Sabrina McCulloch,
Trenton High School |
For over twenty years, the Belleville Public Library has proudly provided a venue to showcase the wonderfully talented secondary School students' art work and the tradition continues this April with the show "Variations 2010". Organized through the Hastings and Prince Edward School Board, the participating high schools also include Separate and Private school students. Past shows have included all forms of art including sculpture, pottery, installations, paintings and even wearable art.
In this exhibition one can expect to see how the youth of our region views the world around them, each other and what the future holds with a tremendous amount of talent and unabashed honesty, as only teenagers can effect! And - you never know how many future artists will be hanging in the show!
The students and their teachers invite you to attend the opening reception on Thursday, April 8th from 6 - 7:30p.m. |

Enjoy a selection of early works from our permanent collection. Most pieces were gifts to the Library, many arriving before the Gallery was built! We've included information about how we came to hold these works, but we have many questions. If you have any knowledge about the artisits or the artwork, please let us know!
